In an early Leipzig GC unveiling, Capcom has revealed that its hit Devil May Cry series is getting a mobile phone makeover to coincide with the release of DMC4 next year. While most of us still see mobile phone gaming as a decidedly awkward, finger straining pastime, the improving technology inside mobiles is paving the way for some truly impressive looking visuals. This mobile iteration is a conversion of the disappointing PS2 title Devil May Cry 2 and you???????ll be able to play as Dante jumping, gunning and puzzle solving his way through the authentic looking demon hordes.
As is becoming a trend in console-mobile phone ports, the game will be laid out in a pyramidal mission structure and you get a rating at the end of each level that (presumably) determines where you go to next. Visually, it is pushing the envelope, offering easily recognisable DMC stylings in full 3D, but I???????m sceptical about how well a phone keypad can hope to overcome the awkward control method. |
